Sharing our knowledge of vegetable gardening in the Snoqualmie Valley area
Hello everyone,
Here's a link to more information about the Northwest Perennial Alliance.
They offer all kinds of wonderful opportunities. I especially enjoy the open garden tours, the online video classes and newsletter.
The garden tours are a great way to see the diversity of gardening approaches, meet and talk with very talented/dedicated gardeners and learn from their experience. I come back so inspired to do more with my garden and take heart that we all struggle with the same challenges (so maybe I'm not so stupid after all!).
The online video classes are 4-6 minutes in length and offer visual demonstrations on a particular topic. How to divide a plant, pruning techniques, integrated pest management techniques, the list goes on. Very helpful and a fun way to get in a brief bit of education!
The NPA's newsletter is often choc full of good articles, links to more information, networking opportunities and the like.
All in all, NPA's a great organization and well worth the membership fee.
