Suggestions from Karen:

Scarlet Runner Beans – beautiful flowers, edible pods when young, and you can dry the beans to save and/or eat too!
Cucumbers – ‘Rocky’ is a perfect snack or one-salad sized cuke, and ‘Lemon’ is delicious, unique and fun all around.
Eggplant – ‘Fairy Tale’ produces a whole bunch of small eggplants. We ate them, skins and all. They never got bitter like eggplant sometimes do. We purchased as a plant from Territorial.
Onions – ‘Walla Walla’ sets we purchased at the Grange in Issaquah.
Cantaloupe – ‘Athena’ is a delicious, short season variety. Once you eat a homegrown ripe cantaloupe, you’ll never go back!
Summer Squash – ‘One Ball’ is a yellow summer squash that is about the size of a cue ball when it’s ready to be picked. It’s small and great for stuffing.
Winter squash – ‘Early Butternut’ is great, though you should start it early indoors and you might want to consider hand-pollinating the flowers for the best production.
Tomatoes – ‘Sungold’ is a wonderful little cherry that is the earliest producer we’ve had. It’s candy-sweet too!
Hey Hannah, etc.

I hope to consider this my 'homework' from the last meeting. These were the vegetables that I grew last year and plan to repeat this year. I didn't include those that I was less 'happy' with.

I'm with you on the Sungold. One plant was more than prolific enough for two of us! Too bad I already placed my Territorial order and didn't see your Cantaloupe suggestion before. As I was paging through the catalog, I was thinking that cantaloupes would be fun but wasn't sure whether our season was long enough.
