Trellis Community Vegetable Gardening Forum

Sharing our knowledge of vegetable gardening in the Snoqualmie Valley area

During the last two meetings, members have complained about their tomato harvests of bought seeds and plants but raved about their tomatos from the plants Nile supplied at the May meeting. Thank you, Nile, on behalf of the membership. Larry

Hi all! Sorry I have missed some meetings. We will be in Europe on the 20 th of Oct. I grew King Richard Leeks and they were amazing. I started them from seed in the greenhouse and planted them out in May. Unlike last year when bunnies and/ or slugs got 2/3 of them , almost all of them survived. I am happy to share tomato plants again. My most successful were
Sungold, , Mexican midget, Japanese Trifele, and Legend. Blight arrived on Oct 1st for me. The Legend were unaffected until the first frost. Regardless, it was the best year ever for tomatoes, tomatillos and ground cherries and Camomile flowers which we made into tea, added to Lemon Verbena.
