Sharing our knowledge of vegetable gardening in the Snoqualmie Valley area
I rooted concord grape canes over the winter, based on an agreement I had to contribute to a new vineyard. The agreement fell through so I now have about three dozen healthy grape plants that are ready to be transplanted.
The plants are from a vine that I have cloned before, so I know of their potential. The source vine is a variant of Concord that has grown well in the Snoqualmie valley for years. Berries mature somewhat earlier than traditional Concord cultivars. They are very tasty, seeded red/purple grapes that are perfect for juice and jelly, as well as eating.
I bought special potting and gardening soils, a mycorrhizal mixture, and suitable pots, incurring a significant expense, specifically for this project, so I am accepting a small, free will donation for each, say $3 to $5.
