Sharing our knowledge of vegetable gardening in the Snoqualmie Valley area
I've been researching vermicomposting bins. There are quite a few choices, and different techniques. Here's what I have come up with.
The worm dude (thewormdude.com) recommends the worm inn: http://www.theworminn.com/products-page/
This is a flow-through type and doesn't use plastic bins and has a single compartment for worms and scraps. It seems expensive to me. I wonder how easy it would be to make one? And, he insists on charging sales tax (he's in California) and shipping rates seem high. (I know, I'm picky!)
And there are the plastic bins, both DIY and commercial, as on Amazon. I have read reviews on Amazon and some people do well with the plastic bins, but most indicate they retain too much moisture.
This is a DIY bin. I wonder about the liquid that drains to the bottom.

And another approach:

Does anyone have experience?
