Sharing our knowledge of vegetable gardening in the Snoqualmie Valley area

Has anyone has any success with slug baits and killers?  We live on a large piece of property and slugs seems to be never ending.  I tried cups of yeast and honey mixture last year, but I had to fill the cups after every rain.  Also, I ended up killing more beetles than slugs in the cups.  I would love to hear your suggestions.

We always will have slugs. I use Bug-Geta, this works the best for me. Good Luck

We have previously discussed slug scale electric "fences" to deter slug invasions.

Here's an ongoing "research" project that seems to result in effective slug protection for raised bed gardens.

I like the opportunities for applying this to some other situations, like greenhouse foundations, flowerpot bases and maybe even putting a wooden runner all around the garden to create a place to put my wires.

Maybe I will also experiment with using solar power to recharge the battery each day.
