Sharing our knowledge of vegetable gardening in the Snoqualmie Valley area
I promised at the June Trellis meeting last Saturday to repost this tip from a previous meeting. Everyone at the meeting complained of lots of replanting this spring due to huge numbers of tiny slugs. These slugs seem to stay put on a plant and devour it and are harder to eliminate or control.
To keep from a repeat performance next year (2012). Treat your lawn and maybe your garden groundcover crop next spring:
To kill slug eggs: In spring on grass lawn a 50/50 mixture of ammonium hydroxide (liquid ammonia) and water.
